After two decades creating graphics software, CJ became a computer graphic artist in order to provide a creative outlet. He became adept in the use of 2D and 3D modeling tools and created computer generated animation. In this capacity, he worked on short animated films and animated corporate logo design.
CJ was never satisfied with the limitations imposed by the computer on his art. He started creating clay and wax sculpture to improve his computer modeling techniques, and found sculpting was far more enjoyable and less limiting than what he could achieve on the computer. It was during this time he moved his skills from modeling in the virtual computer world, to sculpting in the real world. Through time, his interests have evolved primarily into creating fine art figurative sculpture.
